Training Workshop Opportunity for Veterinary Residents

Sep 29, 2021, 07:17 AM by ACVIM Research
The ACVIM invites veterinary residents to a unique training course available to clinical residents in any veterinary specialty!

The 2021 Clinician Scientist Training Workshop for Veterinary Residents is organized by the School of Veterinary Medicine, UW-Madison, in collaboration with the CTSA One Health Alliance and the University of Wisconsin-Madison Institute for Clinical and Translational Research, with support from the ACVIM.

This one-and-a-half day intensive course on October 23-24, 2021, is geared toward clinical residents and provides entry-level skills in designing veterinary clinical research studies. Topics include framing a research question, choosing the best study design, basic statistical analyses, grantsmanship, and tips for abstract presentations and manuscript writing.

This course will be video conferenced to resident training sites throughout the country and there is no cost for current veterinary residents to attend as registration fees are subsidized in full by donations from sponsors.

If you are a current resident, register for this training opportunity or if you are a Diplomate share with with residents and encourage them to attend!
