The ACVIM Forum remains the leading event for advanced, specialist-level education in veterinary internal medicine. This premier conference provides an exceptional opportunity for attendees to invest in their community, education, and future.
This year, the 2024 ACVIM Forum took place in Minneapolis, Minnesota from June 6-8, with Specialty Symposium on June 5. Attendees were able to earn CE through innovative sessions in cardiology, large animal internal medicine, neurology, nutrition, oncology, small animal internal medicine, PLUS multispecialty topics including business, leadership & communications, education & research, wellbeing and more.
Live Virtual Day was held on June 18 with virtual access to on-demand sessions ending October 31, 2024.

WEDNESDAY
Specialty Symposium
Wednesday kicked off with the Opening General Session, Unleashing Artificial Intelligence in Veterinary Medicine presented by Krystle L. Reagan, DVM, PhD, DACVIM (SAIM), Assistant Professor at UC Davis.
The Technician Program for specialty technicians began in the afternoon with Technician Case Reports Sponsored by Hill's Pet Nutrition. Specialty Networking Luncheons for Cardiology, LAIM, Neurology, Nutrition, SAIM and Oncology were also held on Wednesday afternoon.

Welcome, new Diplomates!
The day wrapped up in the evening, when attendees came together for the Specialty Symposium Reception and New Diplomate Recognition Sponsored by Ceva, Hill's Pet Nutrition, MedVet and Pieper Veterinary. Each specialty recognized new boarded Diplomates with a total of 181 new Diplomates welcomed to the ACVIM.
THURSDAY
The first official day of the 2024 ACVIM Forum was filled with educational sessions and networking! Thursday's events kicked off with the Keynote Address: "The Accelerating Future of Health and Medicine: What's Now, Near & Next for Veterinary Care" presented by Dr. Daniel Kraft and Sponsored by Hill's Pet Nutrition. Those unable to attend in person were able to tune in via livestream or will be able to watch the on-demand recording in July.
A Vibrant Exhibit Hall
The Exhibit Hall opened in the morning, where attendees had the chance to discover featured exhibitors and check out areas like the Bark Park, Sponsored by SAGE Veterinary Centers, the Cat Lounge Sponsored by Elanco Animal Health the Technician Lounge Sponsored by AIMVT, and the Wellbeing Zone Sponsored by Chewy Health. At the ACVIM Hub, attendees chatted with ACVIM staff and learned more about membership, JVIM, VetSpecialists.com and the Career Center.
The evening wrapped up with the Wine and Cheese Happy Hour Sponsored by Boehringer Ingelheim Animal Health and the ACVIM, bringing attendees and exhibitors together for food and drinks to cap off an eventful day.

FRIDAY
Friday was marked by several highly-anticipated events, starting with the ACVIM Membership Awards Ceremony and Luncheon, where we honored the recipient of the 2024 Robert W. Kirk Award for Professional Excellence, Edward C. Feldman, DVM, DACVIM (SAIM), and the recipient of the 2024 Lee and Inge Pyle Service Award , Susan L. “Suzi” White, DVM, MS, DACVIM (LAIM).
The LAIM Research Exchange and SAIM & Nutrition Research Exchange Sponsored by Purina Institute connected colleagues with similar interests in specialty medicine, while learning about ongoing research projects and programs. Presentations were in a five-minute rapid format with brief Q&A after. In the evening, Colleagues and Cocktails- Connecting Communities brought attendees together for drinks, networking and celebrating diversity in the veterinary profession with participating Vet Med Affinity Groups.

Today was the final day of the 2024 ACVIM Forum and it did not disappoint! The day kicked off with two Industry Sessions Breakfasts: Immune checkpoints: Early Gilvetmab Experience and Pathways to Future Applications, Sponsored by Merck Animal Health, and Updates in Pancreatitis: Innovation and PANOQUELL-CA1, Sponsored by CEVA. Both breakfasts offered attendees a chance to network with industry experts while listening to educational presentations about updates in recently developed medications.
Educational sessions and programs took place throughout the day featuring over 15 tracks in all specialties, exploring unique conditions, treatment options, hands-on application, and featuring the latest information available.
Among these included a resident-focused opportunity- Clinical Research: Setting up for Success program, Sponsored by Purina Institute, and the new Knowledge Expedition: Navigating Construction, Design, and Financing Challenges for Specialty Hospital Design program, Sponsored by Live Oak Bank and Terwisscha Construction, Inc.
