The Lee and Inge Pyle Service Award is given in recognition of outstanding and dedicated service by an ACVIM Diplomate in a volunteer capacity to the College.
Presented annually, recipients have an outstanding record of service to ACVIM either as an elected official of the College, through voluntary service on task forces and committees or as an advocate of the College to the veterinary profession or public. Nominations are accepted annually.
At the 2018 ACVIM Forum in Seattle, Washington, the ACVIM announced that the Distinguished Service Award, given annually in recognition of outstanding and dedicated service by a Diplomate who has served as an ACVIM volunteer, would be renamed in honor of Lee and Inge Pyle.
