The 2021 ACVIM Forum Goes Virtual

Jan 5, 2021, 00:00 AM by April Sramek

Dear ACVIM Colleagues,

We are excited to share ACVIM Forum updates with you today! Reflecting on the challenges presented this year, one success story was the rapid transition to a virtual event, bringing us the 2020 ACVIM Forum On Demand, providing high-quality CE to over 3,200 virtual participants thus far.

Looking forward to 2021, we considered your feedback about the uncertainty surrounding the safety and ease of travel and large gatherings. Along with this feedback and our social responsibility to keep our community safe, we have made the difficult decision not to meet in person next year. Instead, we are excited to announce the 2021 ACVIM Forum will be virtual. Offering live-streamed presentations, opportunities for virtual networking, access to on demand sessions and the latest in research, all taking place on the dates you have already marked on your calendar, June 9-12, 2021.

While we all miss the opportunities for face-to-face connections, we are confident that when we meet again in-person, the ACVIM Forum will be even more robust, featuring in-person presentations alongside virtual offerings. The expertise gained from this year’s quick transition and the broader experiences we plan for the 2021 ACVIM Forum will set us up for long-term success in providing the educational content you want, wherever you are and with access to even more sessions than before.

The ACVIM is dedicated to delivering the highest quality and most relevant content to you June 9-12, 2021, in addition to three months of on demand access following the live event. We are eager to bring you specialist-focused programming in an optimized virtual environment. Working closely with our volunteer committees and the aligned groups that come together during our live conference, we will continue to deliver outstanding learning opportunities and the latest in veterinary research. Dedicated virtual networking offerings will provide the ability for connection we have all been missing during the pandemic.

We are excited for the opportunity to bring you more quality continuing education in 2021!

Stay safe and healthy,
